It’s been dubbed as thee movie to catch this summer, and the best of the Iron Man series. If you have not bought your tickets, why not save this special blockbuster for that special someone? If you’ve seen the movie, there’s no harm watching it again, especially if you call yourself a fan.

It’s currently the movie everyone’s talking about. Sure, your mom might be whispering to your ear, asking you questions incessantly throughout the film but she’s just curious. Also, it’s a film everyone (well, almost) likes! From the kids to the die-hard Marvel fans and even the older couples. Hey, a plus point there: to see Robert Downey Jr with and without those suits!

The Call is one that dear mummy needs some courage to watch. It’s no comedy she’ll laugh over but one that gets her (and maybe yourself) sitting at the edge of the seat with one hand in the popcorn box. Well, if your mother is one hell of a thriller-seeker, then you definitely should bring her to watch this movie.

The Oscar-fied movie is already a good-enough reason for you and your mother to catch it. Starring Oscar winner Halle Berry and Oscar-nominated actress Abigail Breslin, the duo puts up a fantastic performance in The Call, giving viewers an exciting yet thrilling experience. Maybe this time mama wants some action and suspense this Mother’s Day, The Call is the change she needs.

Identity Thief (The Funny Mummy)

Who doesn’t love a comedy? Put together the duo dynamic, Jason Bateman and Melissa McCarthy, you get a chick flick film loved by all. McCarthy revealed that during the fight scenes, they pull no punches with their fists and even gave each other (okay, only Bateman) a nose bleed! How’s that for some realism.

A comedy we’re sure she will like it! Though rated M18 due to coarse language, the show will not be as funny if not for the extra ‘accentuated words’ that come along naturally. The fun-loving mums will not only appreciate and enjoy the movie, she will have a ball of a time in the cinemas, laughing together with her precious son/daughter.

David Loman (The Lovable Mother)

Most parents in Singapore are rather fluent in dialects, be it Hokkien, Teochew or Cantonese and David Loman will be the movie they will enjoy, provided they understand Hokkien for the humour in the movie is mixed with English, Mandarin and Hokkien. We believe old-time favourite Chu Ko-Liang is a well-loved comedian mothers will know. Don’t be surprised if she tells you he’s (Chu) is her idol!

The Company You Keep (The Impartial Mum)

The action-thriller lovers will definitely have this movie in their list. Starring veteran actors like Robert Redford, Julie Christie, Nick Nolte, Richard Jenkins and Sam Elliott, one can expect much of a star-studded cast to put on a splendid performance.
