Synopsis
This documentary about the entrepreneur, diplomat and art collector is set against the backdrop of the tense socio-political context of China's ongoing transformation since the 1970s.
The prominent Swiss art collector Uli Sigg has made a major impact on the contempora- ry art world with what is regarded as the most significant collection of contemporary Chinese art. At its height, his collection had over 2,300 art works, the majority of which he donated to Hong Kong's M+ museum, due to open in 2019. It was business not art that brought the former Swiss Ambassador to China in the late 1970s.
