In the new international trailer of ‘Suburbicon’, directed by George Clooney and co-written by the Coen brothers, we see a man’s life falling apart and one who is in desperate need of help.
It opens with colleagues and friends offering their condolences to the emotionless Mr. Lodge (Matt Damon) for the passing of his wife. He hires Margaret (Julianne Moore) to look after his young son Nicky, but things start to fall apart in Lodge’s life and quickly goes from bad to bloody. It juxtaposes with the clean and exemplary Suburbicon, a peaceful and idyllic suburban community with friendly neighbours to boot.
Clooney has collaborated with Joel and Ethan Coen for a number of films, but this time he will be behind the camera for his screwball comedy feature - the kind of genre the brothers are known for.
It looks like this is another Coen classic-in-the-making!
Suburbicon also stars Oscar Isaac and Glenn Fleshler, and opens InCinemas 9 November 2017!
