Blade of the Immortal is Takashi Miike 100th Film

The story follows Manji (Takuya Kimura), a samurai who was cursed with immortality after a legendary battle. Haunted by the murder of his sister, Manji knows that only by fighting evil can he regain his mortality. After crossing paths with Rin Asano (Hana Sugisaki), he promises to help her avenge her parents, who were killed by a group of swordsmen, the Itto-Ryu who are led by the ruthless Anotsu. 

Blade of the Immortal is Takashi Miike's 100th film based on Hioaki Samura's manga.
