It’s Time for War in New ‘X-Men: Apocalypse’ Trailer.

By Flora  /  18 Mar 2016 (Friday)

Mutant students step up to fight invincible ancient mutant Apocalypse in the new trailer of 'X-Men: Apocalypse'!

Bryan Singer’s latest addition to the X-Men franchise is the sequel to the 2014’s time-travelling film ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’, set in 1983.

(Defend or Destory? New team posters not to be missed!)

Hollywood’s newest squeeze, Oscar Issac plays the arch nemesis Apocalypse - known as the first mutant of the X-Men universe that reawakens to take charge of his mutants. And to complete this task, he gathered some of his ‘minions’, also known as the Four Horsemen (Not to be confused with the magicians in Now You See Me), comprising of Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), Psylocke (Olivia Munn) and Angel (Ben Hardy).

On the other side of the coin are the ‘good’ mutants who want to save humanity, led by Professor X (James McAvoy), Mystique (Jennifer Lawrence), Cyclops (Tye Sherid), Beast (Nicholas Hoult) and Jean Grey (Sophie Turner). In a short scene, Raven, aka Mystique tells her fellow mutants “Let’s go to war.”

[Synopsis]
Following the critically acclaimed global smash hit X-Men: Days of Future Past, director Bryan Singer returns with X-MEN: APOCALYPSE. Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

X-Men: Apocalypse also stars Rose Byrne, Lucas Till, Evan Peters, Kodi Smit-McPhee, Josh Helman, and Lana Condor, and opens InCinemas 19 May 2016!
