Watch: Dolls vs. Nazis in ‘Welcome To Marwen’ Trailer

From Oscar-winning director Robert Zemeckis, comes the story about a man who suffered brain damage and loses most of his memory after being beaten nearly to death. During recovery, he copes with the trauma by creating a World War II doll village populated by characters resembling himself, his loved ones, and even his attackers.
Inspired by a true story which was also adapted into a documentary in 2010 called ‘Marwencol’, this film looks like it’s going to hit you right in the heart with its bittersweet plot alternating between reality and fantasy. However, tackling this remarkable story of self-invention and re-discovery with the use of motion capture special effects must be challenging for a filmmaker. But if anyone can handle that, it’s director Robert Zemeckis, whose previous films includes the ‘Back To The Future’ trilogy, ‘Who Framed Roger Rabbit’, and ‘Forrest Gump’.
