Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson leads ‘Saw’ franchise, ‘Spiral’

Directed by Darren Lynn Bousman, who helmed Saw II, III, and IV, the new instalment in the ‘Saw’ horror franchise, ‘Spiral’ stars Chris Rock and Samuel L. Jackson.

The latest chapter finds Detective Banks (Rock) hot on Jigsaw’s trail after being called to the scene of a grisly murder. He takes charge of a case involving the gruesome murder of a police officer. Along with his rookie partner (Max Minghella), Banks discovers a pattern of cop-killing throughout the city and soon finds himself in the middle of a sadistic torture game.

“Spiral” is produced by the original “Saw” team of Mark Burg and Oren Koules, and is written by Josh Stolberg and Pete Goldfinger.

Spiral creeps into the theaters May 2020.
