Star-studded ensemble including Daniel Craig and Chris Evans in Agatha Christie-inspired Knives Out

After Star Wars: The Last Jedi, Rian Johnson is back to do what he does best - making original offbeat movies.

This time, Johnson has made an Agatha Christie-inspired black comedy whodunit murder mystery called Knives Out.

The trailer is hilarious.

The lead is Daniel Craig, playing Benoit Blanc who is investigating the death of uber-wealthy crime novelist Harlan Thombrey, played by Christopher Plummer.

Suspecting that the murderer is amongst the family, Blanc demands that no one leaves the house until he solves the murder.

Naturally, dirty secrets and salacious scandals will be revealed and no one will be spared.

There are so many things to look forward to in Knives Out. Namely, the super stellar cast made up of Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Toni Collette, Don Johnson, Michael Shannon, Katherine Langford, Noah Segan, Edi Patterson, Riki Lindhome, Jaeden Martell, and Christopher Plummer. What a mouthful.

Chris Evans undoubtedly steals the limelight in his post-Captain America role.

We aren't sure if playing the square and straitlaced Captain America has left Chris with a lot of pent-up cuss words in him, but seeing him drop "Eat shit" continuously for 10 seconds is the best thing in the trailer.

Bursting with sarcasm, black comedy and knotty family dynamics, Knives Out promises to be an explosively fun ride.

Knives Out will show in cinemas in November 2019.
