《 我的朋友,我的同学,我爱过的一切》That Girl in Pinafore has been invited to the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival! Check out the official release from mm2 entertainment! Singapore, 29th May 2013 - With “Xinyao” as its central theme, That Girl in Pinafore won favour and has been invited to the 16th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF). The International Film Festival is one of four main events at the SIFF, and presents great opportunities for the promotion and distribution of the film.

This invitation not only shows international acknowledgement of That Girl in Pinafore, but also confirms the international recognition of “Xinyao” (Singapore’s folk music movement). The film features modern rearrangements of ten classic “Xinyao” songs which will appeal to both new and old listeners. These melodious songs will play at Shanghai in June.

The film director Chai Yee-wei 蔡于位 will be accompanied by the main cast at the film’s world premiere at the Shanghai Film Festival. As a fan of “Xinyao” music, the director hopes the film will give “Xinyao” a new lease of life.
