Duck Commander - Duck Calls - Tried & Tested!
Never heard of Duck Calls?
Neither did I, till Duck Dynasty came about. Essentially, a ‘whistle’ that is used to emit ‘quack’ sounds to lure ducks for hunting. Each call is designed differently, so the duck calls can sound like different species of ducks or even ‘instructing’ ducks to do different things like eating and so on.
Thanks to the folks over at HISTORY channel, we managed to try out one of the duck calls! We got the ‘Ole Raspy’ and although we still have no idea what kind of species we’ll be attracting, be sure to spot us around parks while we ‘call’ for some ducks.
Quick Guide
It’s fairly simple. Though it looks like an over-sized black whistle, it can be pretty fun and interesting, even if its just to annoy your family and friends. Be warned, the sounds are rather loud and you wouldn’t want to do this in a quiet cafe!
All you need is a slight blow into the larger circumference hollow tube and.....Eureka! We sense ducks are coming your way. On the packaging set, the instructed method is to say ‘ten’ and then speed up to five to seven times... You can do different duck calls using the same duck call whistle, you just need practice.
