By InCinemas  /  29 Aug 2013 (Thursday)

Pawn Stars' celebrities Rick and Corey Harrison visited Singapore as part of their Asia Tour and InCinemas got to chat with the duo and find out about some of the most interesting items they have in the shop!

(Read about their tour in Chinatown!)

These guys aren’t just your normal people behind the counter putting a price tag to items that come in daily. Ever since the show started, The Harrison family and Chumlee are now international celebrities where people constantly take pictures of them. During their Singapore stop in their Asia Tour, more than 1000 screaming fans waited for the father and son to arrive at Star Vista.

About Pawn Stars
Pawn Stars features a family-run pawnshop in Las Vegas, where three generations of men from the Harrison family; Grandfather Richard, son Rick, grandson Corey; and their friend Chumlee, jointly run the world famous Gold & Silver Pawn Shop in Las Vegas, Nevada.

If you’re thinking tips and tricks on haggling prices, Rick definitely gave us a tip or two though we don’t think this might work at Pasar Malams. “Always be prepared to walk away,” he said.

When it comes to buying items from their customers, truth and honesty are what the Harrisons abide to.

“With my business I try to be really, really honest. If you’re extremely honest with your customers, they tell the other customers and they tell the other customers, and next thing you know you have a pawn shop like mine with 5000 people a day at the store,” Rick, the 48 year-old expert continued.

Items in the Pawn Shop

  • Most Expensive
The item that was the most expensive in the shop used to be a Superbowl ring, but now it is JFK’s cigar box. This prize possession goes for a whopping $125 000 at the shop!

  • Most Memorable
Though Rick Harrison mentioned that items come in and out of their shop everyday but memorable items for him includes the 1968 Mustang and Johnny Cash’s driver license.

  • Longest Time In The Shop
A huge Plaster of Paris which is sitting at the shop for more than 20 years. “This guy got really drunk, he went to an art gallery and spent $2000 on it and he brought home to his wife, but she said get it out of my house. He brought it to the pawn shop as they won’t take it back at the art store. I go ‘really’? I give you a hundred bucks and he goes ‘take it!’”

“I’ll take 500 bucks for it! It’s one of those things I want to sell it but I don’t want to sell it because it sat there so long it’s part of the store now,” Rick recounted
  • Most Bizarre Item that was Almost in the Shop
A duffel bag with a bunch of human skulls in it. “I thought it will be really weird so I said no,” Corey added.

The series is best known and loved for the Harrison's highly hilarious antics on-screen, with clashing and camaraderie every step of the way. "We hug it out," Rick said with a chuckle.

Pawn Stars airs every Monday at 10pm on HISTORY, StarHub Cable TV Ch 401 and HISTORY HD, StarHub Cable TV Ch 455.
