The five-person ensemble, which won a season of NBC’s The Sing-Off and found chart success soon after, will have a small role as a rival group to the Barden Bellas in Pitch Perfect 2.
The group, consisting of members Scott Hoying, Mitch Grassi, Avi Kaplan, Kirstie Maldonado, and Kevin Olusola had the full makeup and wardrobe treatment for their scenes in the movie. They sounds like a strong competitor we can expect to see as after all, they are the most famous real-life a cappella ensemble in the country, where most, if not all of their YouTube videos hit the millionth mark.
Grassi proclaims that “You’re going to love it,” a bold statement but one that is probably true. After all, it’s Pitch Perfect 2. If it’s anything like the first one, we’re going to be all about it.
Anna Kendrick, Skylar Astin, Rebel Wilson, Anna Camp, Brittany Snow, Ben Platt, Adam DeVine are all reprising their roles in the sequel, which will include new additions Hailee Steinfeld and Chrissie Fit.
Elizabeth Banks sits behind the camera to make her directorial debut with this aca-exciting comedy, slated to open InCinemas May 2015.
