No 'Girlfriend Visitations' During the Training of 'Paradise in Service'!

Taiwanese heartthrob Ethan Juan was in town last week to promote his upcoming movie, Paradise in Service.
Read what he has to say about his steamy sex scene in the movie and his 2-month training where girlfriends weren't allowed to visit!
Speaking to the media at the ArtScience Museum of Marina Bay Sands, Juan talked about the hardships and joy working with director Doze Niu
on this movie, their third collaboration together after LOVE (2012) and
Monga (2010).
Juan plays a military officer who is put in
charge of the military brothel ‘Unit 831’ which hosts a group of
prostitutes who serve the officers in the army. This movie also marks
Juan’s most daring role as he had stripped naked, baring his bottom for a
steamy sex scene.
“I am an actor, and as actors, we do it for the story and script,” said Juan.

When asked if he would accept another movie that requires him to strip, Juan stated ‘trusted director’, ‘good partner’ and ‘good script’ as the conditions the movie has to fulfill in order for him to agree. He added “I will consider accept roles like these in the future, but it has to meet these requirements. It’s not just for the sake of stripping.”
Before they commenced filming, a group of the male cast members had to go through a 2-month training in Kinmen, Taiwan to train on their physicality and for them to understand their roles as young army boys of the 1960s.
“In that two months, director Niu set a rule that our girlfriends are not allowed to visit us. He felt we should maintain a simple and ‘pure’ environment as the young army men (we are playing) have not had any experience in romance or sex. He wants to let our bodies and mind have that sense of desire.”
“Isn’t he evil?” the Golden Horse winner quipped. “When we arrived at the set of ‘Unit 831’, we went ‘Woah!’.”

Nevertheless, there was a really pretty woman who came to visit us on set. “I remember vividly on that one particular day, there was a rumour spreading around that there was a very pretty girl from Kinmen! Everyone started talking about it and we were trying to guess who this lady was… turns out, the pretty lady was Wei Ni (Tiffany). When my co-stars found out it was her, they were so disappointed that she’s already attached!”
