Fans of Marvel’s Captain America: Civil War turned up at Marina Bay Sand’s ice skating ring as early as 8am, to catch a glimpse of the cast and director of the movie - Joe Russo, Chris Evans, Anthony Mackie and Sebastian Stan!
Here in Singapore as part of the worldwide star tour, #TeamCap goes head-to-head with #TeamIronMan who is currently travelling around Europe for the promotional tour. The Singapore stop coincides with #TeamIronMan’s London tour, but for the fans that turned up at the blue carpet event this evening, they were prepared to back the superhero with screams, cheers and professing their love on social media.
As early as 4pm, about three hours before the blue carpet officially starts, Marina Bay Sands was filled with fans on all four levels of the shopping mall. Comic book fans took the opportunity to don their Marvel superhero suit; some brought their handmade Captain America’s shield; and many held fan signs, in hopes for the stars to autograph their prized possessions.
The stars took selfies with the screaming crowd, signed autographs on posters and memorabilia, and some lucky fans even got a warm hug from these actors!
It was Falcon, Anthony Mackie who warmed the crowd further, leading the thousand-strong pack with a ‘Team Cap! Team Cap! Team Cap!” chant.
Robert Downey. Jr from #TeamIronMan may have issued a challenge to #TeamCap on a lighted-up Eiffel tower show, but he would have to wait and see for tomorrow when the ActScience Museum will be turned into a canvas with projection mapping of the colours of #TeamCap!
