Korean Zombie Blockbuster ‘Train to Busan’ Breaks Record in Korean Cinema History.

Starring Gong Yoo, Jung Yu mi and Choi Woo-sik, the first Korean zombie film ‘Train to Busan’ recorded 5,314,948 total admissions (Box Office –USD 38.8M) in only 5 days of its domestic release, recording the fastest-grossing film in Korean film history. It beat its previous title holder ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’, which recorded 4,767,600 in 2014.
After ‘Train to Busan’ recorded the highest opening score in the first day of its release, it is now #1 fastest-grossing film to reach 5,000,000 admissions. In addition, recording 1,280,940 (Box Office –USD 9,644,087) on Saturday of 23rd, ‘Train to Busan’ replaced the biggest single day score ‘The Admiral: Roaring Currents’ had on August 3 2014 of 1,257,380 (Box Office –USD 8,877,179).
