Go Crazy for Crazy Horse from 11 Oct to 22 Oct!

By Say Peng  /  16 Oct 2017 (Monday)

Celebrating 65 years of Parisian glamour, femininity and sophistication, the tantalizing Parisian cultural phenomenon, Forever Crazy, will return to Singapore from 11 - 22 October.

Forever Crazy was conceived in 1951 as a tribute to Alain Bernadin, the founder of Crazy Horse. It fully preserves the cabaret's artistic heritage while adding a touch of modernity, humour and sophistication. Forever Crazy consists of distinctly choreographed acts, amongst them, the legendary classics of Crazy Horse.

Featuring the best of acts from the legendary Cabaret, Forever Crazy consists of a series of highly aesthetic and visual tableaus preented by a multicultural cast of ten stunningly beautiful and classically trained dancers clad only in textured lighting and projection. One of these acts is the world famous opening scene, the trademark of Crazy Horse which has opened every show since 1989, the iconic number God Save Our Bareskin.

The idea for the number was conceived during Bernadin's trip to London. It was his way of mocking uniformity and comformity by having his dancers dressed alike to such a degree they are individually unrecognizable. To create this opening number, Bernadin brought a real British Royal Guard officer to Paris where he taught and rehearsed the dancers. This is one of the hardest dance number to learn for any new Crazy Horse recruit. But despite its difficulty, some dancers such as Tania de Bermudes have said that it is their favourite number to perform.

Since its inception, Crazy Horse has drawn over 20 million patrons, including such renowned artists as Christina Aguilera, Madonna, Beyonce, President John F Kenny, and film director Pedro Almodovar. This is your chance to join them!
