First look images are released from the upcoming ‘Aquaman’. The filmmakers behind this DC Comics adaption have promised that it will rival the sense of adventure and epic scope found in “Indiana Jones”, “Star Wars” and “The Lord of the Rings”. The film will also have a much lighter tone than “Batman V Superman” and “Justice League”.

Jason Momoa reprises his role as Arthur Curry / Aquaman, while Amber Heard is back as Mera, the queen of Atlantis. Both of them have already appeared in “Justice League”.
Other stars joining them includes Patrick Wilson as King Orm, Aquaman’s half-brother, Willen Dafoe as Aquman’s mentor Vulko, and Nicole Kidman as Queen Atlanna.

James Wan (The Conjuring 1 & 2, Fast and Furious 7) directs. Aquaman is slated to open InCinemas 20 December.
