mm2 announces 10 new movies at Hong Kong International Film and TV Market, including 3 local films

In recent years, mm2 Asia has produced many Chinese language films, such as 'Take Me To The Moon', Sylvia Chang-starring 'Shuttle Life', Jack Neo's 'Long Long Time Ago', Ho Wi Ding's 'City Of Last Things', and well-received autism movie 'Guang'.

In 2018, 'More Than Blue' swept Asia by storm with its tragic love story, becoming the talk of the town. The film achieved a record high Hong Kong box office of almost HKD 23 million.

Besides launching many new productions in recent years, mm2 has been committed to developing new filmmaking talents in the Chinese film market.

On the opening day of the Hong Kong International Film and TV Market, the company held a media conference to announce its upcoming movie projects for this year.

Following the success of More Than Blue, mm2 will once again collaborate with FOX Networks Group Asia on the production of several movies in the region. This includes a 5-episode miniseries, 'Memory Eclipse', showcasing 4 classic songs by the legendary Teresa Teng that will span across film and TV platforms.

A total of 10 films were showcased at the media conference, including 3 Singaporean films.

Singaporean audiences can look forward to movies from 'Ah Boys to Men' director Jack Neo; comedian Mark Lee, and TV director Sam Loh.

Neo is in pre-production for his sequel to 'Long Long Time Ago' entitled 'Not So Long Time Ago', while Neo's long-time friend and collaborator Mark Lee, who recently released his directorial debut 'Make It Big Big', is shooting his sophomore feature, comedy-thriller 'Hell Bank Presents: Running Ghost', starring Hong Kong actor Wong You Nam ('An Inspector Calls') and Cecilia Soh Lai Shan.

In post-production is 'Lang Tong' and 'Siew Lup' director Sam Loh's first horror anthology, 'Hell Hole', an inter-generational tale about love and loss, suffering and karma. 'Hell Hole' will release this year.

Fans of Taiwanese romance 'More Than Blue' can look forward to director Gavin Lin's next film, the romantic comedy, 'A Trip With Your Wife', currently in pre-production.

2019 looks to be a busy year for mm2.
