Local films A Land Imagined and Wet Season won 3 awards at the recent Golden Horse Awards, held in Taipei.

The film follows a detective's investigation of a missing migrant worker.

He joked that with the win, his parents, who was planning to kick him out of the house, would now allow him to stay on for a few more years.

Wet Season was the opening film of the 2019 Singapore International Film Festival, and will release in local cinemas from 28 November.

A Land Imagined will have a limited rerun at Cathay Cineplexes from 28 November, and is also available to watch on Netflix.
