Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury of the Marvel Cinematic Universe will be getting his very own spin-off series on Disney+.

Plot details of the new series are being kept under wraps, though Jackson is expected to reprise his role with Kyle Bradstreet attached to write and executive produce.

Jackson's first appearance as Fury, the head of S.H.I.E.L.D in the MCU, goes back to the post-credits scene in the first Iron Man film in 2008. He has since appeared in multiple films within the MCU, the most recent being Spider-Man: Far from Home, mere months after Avengers: Endgame and Captain Marvel which premiered the same year.
The iconic actor has starred in countless films such as Pulp Fiction, Glass, Snakes on a Plane, the Star Wars prequels, Coach Carter and Do the Right Thing. He is also known for his frequent collaboration with Quentin Tarantino and Spike Lee.

Despite having appeared as the character in the hit series Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., the Nick Fury series would mark the first time Jackson holds a regular television role in his career.
