In the new release this week, MY WEEK WITH MARILYN will feature not one, but two beautiful ladies on the big screen. Michelle Williams, who starred with Ryan Gosling in BLUE VALENTINE (2010) last year, transforms herself into 1950s screen goddess Marilyn Monroe in an outstanding performance that critics are calling "phenomenal". Emma Watson, who shot to international stardom with her role as Hermione Granger in the HARRY POTTER films, plays Lucy, who works in a film studio and is in charge of the wardrobe department.
Rather than resort to body doubles and lip-synching, Williams eagerly accepted the challenge of performing all of her own singing and dancing in the film. “Michelle can sing and dance beautifully,” said director Simon Curtis. “She jumped full steam ahead into the two numbers.”

While Williams is the star here, let's not forget about Watson, who shows that she can carry herself in a non-Potter film. Although she takes on a mere supporting role here, fans of Watson would be glad that she looks ravishing in the film. She even shares an on-screen kiss with her co-star Eddie Redmayne, who plays Colin Clark, whose memoir MY WEEK WITH MARILYN is based on.
