Let InCinemas take you through the synopsis of the movie!

Like a scene straight out of a movie, on the day superstar Michael (Louis Koo) is to marry his actress sweetheart Yuan Yuan (Gao Yuanyuan), a coal miner shows up and runs off with the bride.

While dodging the paparazzi, Michael inadvertently boards a truck driven by Sue (Sammi Cheng) and ends up in Shangri-la.

[Michael indulging himself in alcohol to drown his sorrows]

Sue is the innkeeper of a local inn and allows the rather depressed Michael to stay and get his life back together. During his stay, Michael finds out Sue is a die-hard fan and Michael's movies are the links of Sue's marriage. Unfortunately, her husband, Tian, disappeared 7 years ago near the inn and hasn’t been found ever since.

Year after year, the rescue team looks for Tian and Sue hasn’t given up either. But when hope turns into despair, Sue commits suicide and Michael rescues her. As time goes by, Michael nurses Sue back to health and encourages her to put Tian behind her. When they both sense love is in the air, Sue gets word Tian’s body has been found. Unable to forget her husband, Sue turns Michael down.

In memory of this magical journey, Michael turns it into a movie and personally persuades Yuan Yuan to star in the leading role of his film, "Romancing Into Thin Air"...

This is a truly romantic movie you can enjoy during the Valentine's Day. Expect great performances from the cast (especially Sammi Cheng) and a story that may simply move you to tears! There are moments we enjoy in the movie and there's one in particular that we wish to talk about because it's related to the lovely theme song sang by Sammi Cheng! Take special notice of its title 'Do Re Mi' and lyrics in the song!

In the movie, Sue has this piano with the keys playing the sound of 'Do Re Mi' out of tuned. However she has no intention of repairing it and even ask to have it return to its 'out-of-tuned' state on purpose. Of course, there's a good reason behind it, so you can watch Romancing In Thin Air in theatres to find out.

And it was because of this three notes 'Do Re Mi' and the persistance of Sue that inspired Michael to compose the song in the movie. And this song, being sang by Sammi Cheung herself, will have a greater meaning after watching Romancing In Thin Air in cinemas.

The film is shot away from the bustling city in a pastoral setting that gives the film its scenic outlook. The tranquil nature of its setting is where love blossoms between the two lead characters, Michael and Sue. At a high altitude, the air is constantly thin, but can love overcome memories of the past, as it charts a possibly new future for the characters?
