Q: You have been handling productions from Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, and Taiwan. Now you have brought your team to Singapore to do a programme on Marina Bay Sands... what was your impression of the iconic property before production began, and after production wrapped? Was there a significant change?

Humphrey: Looking back you realize that when it comes to running such a property - logistically we have no idea! It’s like running a city. And the success and failure of running that city lie in the meticulous planning and organization of massive amounts of people. That was the change - a new found respect for everyone involved in helping pull that off.

Q: There are 8 episodes in the programme. Do you have a favourite episode? Can you tell us why?

Humphrey: I always enjoyed the episode called 'Banquet Kings'. I liked the back and forth between the kitchens and the transportation teams as they prepare themselves for an onslaught of 5000 guests. Compared to what I do, I just see that as a seriously abnormal day at the office!

Q: Which was the most challenging episode to shoot? Can you tell us why?

Humphrey: All episodes had the same challenge of having to complete what felt like half marathon every day in order to find those filming opportunities that are spread out over such a huge distance.

Q: There's a huge exhibition for Harry Potter in June at the ArtScience Museum. Will your production team be involved in any coverage of this event in a special episode?

Humphrey: We have not planned as yet.

Q: Are there any other places in Singapore or around the region that you have set your eyes on to do another '24/7' series?

Humphrey: We are always on the look out for another 24/7 style series. We are literally just finishing this off, so have not made any conscious follow ups yet, but our production teams on the ground are always on the look out for the next best thing.

Q: You were a travel writer once. Do you see yourself going back to writing in the future, or would you continue to pursue and create original content for the visual medium?

Humphrey: Travel writing seems a long way away now. Indeed just travelling has a different meaning for me now. Certainly my days of hitchhiking through Cambodia and El Salvador are long gone. As a writer back then I seemed to have all the time in the world and wondered through life almost completely undisturbed. Gosh! What a strange thought that has become! =)
