《 决义案》 is Singapore's first police action feature film, led by up and coming Taiwanese actor Chris Lee Chih Cheng 李至正 and famous model Mico Chang Wei Chun 張瑋純.

While director Randy Ang 洪溫漢 was tightlipped on his $1.2million blockbuster, he revealed that this movie will be more than just explosions and visual effects. In fact, he will be focusing more on the story and the development among the characters. During the press conference held on SuperStar Virgo cruise ship, Randy shared with the media that most of his shots would be done during the actual filming instead of adding effects and graphics during post-production.

Aiming for a PG-13 rating despite having some sensitive issues, Ang is confident and is giving his all for this movie, who researched and studied many films to ensure that he does not hit anything above the targeted mark.

Despite having some sensitive themes to tackle in the movie, Ang is aiming for a PG13-rating and is confident that he does not exceed anything higher than the targeted rating with his previous films research and experience.

Led by fight choreographer Sunny Pang, whom also has a role in this movie said that he and Ang sat down together a few months ago to discuss the fight scenes required. Most of the casts went through a grueling three months training, learning the moves and stunts required in the movie. Jimmy Wong 黄志明, a renowned FOREX trader was picked as the 'best student' by Pang, which he explained that his martial arts background helped him a lot.

Viewers can also look forward to see Singapore representatives such as Yuan Shuai 袁帥, Pamelyn Chee 齐騛, Zheng Geping 郑各评, Zhu Houren 朱厚任, Xiang Yun 向云 and Richard Low 刘谦益.

Synopsis

  • Re:solve, Singapore’s first police action feature film, follows Inspector Chen Shaoqiang (Chris Lee) as he tries to figure out a series of daring armed heists and seemingly unrelated murders.  Shaoqiang must revisit his troubled past as a member of the elite Special Tactics and Rescue (STAR) unit, after a botched raid seven years earlier shattered the unity of his special forces team and taking the life of his mentor Wu Tianle.  The resulting cover up destroys his relationship with Tianle’s sister Wu Qizhen.

Shaoqiang’s past collides with his present, as the heists are targeted at financial firm BWB Capital, where Qizhen and another former STAR unit teammate, Wang Zhengming now work.  Shaoqiang must race against the clock to the catch the perpetrators as another heist escalates into a tense hostage situation, where the stakes not only involve the nation’s security, but also the lives of his friends.

Will Shaoqiang get a second chance to re:solve the past, and set things right in the present?
