Ant-Man And The Wasp (Opens 4 July)
What's it about?
The latest adventure of Ant-Man (aka Scott Lang), notably missing from ‘Avengers: Infinity War’, struggling to balance life as a father with his superhero duties with his new partner – The Wasp (aka Hope van Dyne). As with all Marvel movies, exact plot details are tightly wrapped.
Why watch?
Early reviews from critics on twitter are exceedingly positive, saying it’s a lot of fun, and almost all of them are lauding its comedic sensibilities. Oh, ex-‘Catwoman’ Michelle Pfeiffer is in it too.


 
Burning (Korean) (Opens 5 July)
What's it about?
Korean mystery thriller revolving around an aspiring writer and a rich hotshot who become rivals for the affection of a charismatic young woman.
Why watch?
This Korean movie received unanimous reviews at this year’s Cannes Film Festival, praising the film for its stunning visuals and excellent musical soundtrack. ‘The Walking Dead’ fans will be excited to see Steven Yeun on the big screen.
 

Believer (Korean) (Opens 5 July)
What's it about?
Korean action crime movie about a low-level drug dealer joining forces with a cop to bring down a psychotic cartel kingpin.
Why watch? 
Stylishly shot with sleek action scenes. This movie achieved the number 1 spot at the Korea box office for 2 consecutive weeks. Highest grossing Korean movie to-date.

Hotel Transylvania 3: A Monster Vacation (Opens 12 July)
What's it about?
This time, the monsters embark on a cruise ship for a holiday. All hell breaks loose, and all of monsterkind are at risk. Yikes!
Why watch?
Features a bigger monster world, with exotic locales like Atlantis and the Bermuda Triangle.
This may look like a kids film, but the jokes will appeal to adults too.
 

Skyscraper (Opens 12 July)
What's it about?
A former FBI Hostage Rescue Team leader is framed for the world’s tallest building being set ablaze. He will have to find those responsible, clear his name and somehow rescue his family who is trapped inside the building.
Why watch?
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson doing what he does best. Beating bad guys to save his family.
Expectations for this one are high (pun intended).


Brother Of The Year (Thai) (Opens 12 July)
What's it about?
Thai romantic comedy follows the story of a young Thai girl and her bullying elder brother, who always makes it his mission to break up her romantic relationships. When she tries to keep her new half-Japanese boyfriend hidden, the secret can’t last for long.
Why watch?
Big box office hit in Thailand, surpassing the total box office of last year’s Thai hit ‘Bad Genius’ after only one week in release.

 
Shoplifters (Jap) (opens 12 July)
What's it about?
Japanese drama about a small-time thief who takes a young girl home to his family and decide to raise her as their own.
Why watch?
This year’s Palme D’Or winner at the Cannes Film Festival has been hailed as a modern masterpiece.

Sicario: Day Of The Soldado (Opens 19 July)
What's it about?
The plot follows the drug war at the U.S.-Mexico border as it has escalated to the point where the cartels have begun transporting terrorists, forcing the CIA to team up with a mysterious operative.

Early reviews from the U.S. are calling it 'tense', 'gripping' and feature very strong performance from Josh Brolin and Benicio Del Toro.

What's it about?
Looks like the past is back to haunt Tom Cruise’s character, as he and his IMF team try to stop the bad guys in this sixth instalment of the series.

Seriously, look at the variety of death-defying stunts being teased in the trailer.
This is what you call crazy, pulse-pounding non-stop action. ON lah!


Detective Dee: The Four Heavenly Kings (Opens 26 July)
What's it about?
Accused of wrongdoing by the Empress, Detective Dee faces a formidable foe while investigating a crime wave that’s marked by a strange and seemingly supernatural occurrences.
Why watch?
With director Tsui Hark helming this action adventure fantasy, we are guaranteed a visually stunning martial arts ‘whodunnit’.
