Official 1st Trailer for 'Star Trek: Beyond'!

By Flora  /  15 Dec 2015 (Tuesday)
Amidst all the hype and excitement for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, here comes a brand new, official trailer for ‘Star Trek: Beyond’. This comes after a leaked version that was released online. It was rumoured to be released later this week and attached to Star Wars: The Force Awakens

Nonetheless, fans aren’t exactly impressed with what they are watching.

Kirk (Chris Pine), Spock (Zachary Quinto), Nyota Uhura (Zoe Saldana), McCoy (Karl Urban), Scotty (Simon Pegg) and the gang return to space in this sci-fi movie franchise, with director Justin Lin helming the movie (as J.J. Abrams is too busy with the other intergalactic film).

The trailer starts off with the Beastie Boys' classic “Sabotage”, which sets the odd tone of the clip that doesn’t quite match the footage of the film. The main plot, from what we gathered from the trailer shows Kirk stranded on a planet, trying to find his way back. In addition, new tender moments between Spock and Kirk that we can’t have enough of.

Star Trek: Beyond is slated to open InCinemas July 2016!
