Warner Bros. Pictures just released the first trailer for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. The magical film is a said to be a spinoff of J.K. Rowling's Harry Potter series on a guidebook that practically breaks down all the weird magical creatures.
From the short 2-minute trailer, we get to see the gist of the movie: the escape of some of the ‘fantastic beasts’ in New York City from a briefcase belonging to a wizard. That briefcase belongs to Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne), and he has to clear the mess before these magical creatures wreck havoc across the wizarding and non-magical worlds.
The movie takes places 70 years before the events in Harry Potter at Hogwarts. The title of the film comes from a Hogwart's textbook written by warlock and Newt Scamander.
It is also Rowling’s screenwriter debut.
