6 Movies to Catch this June Holidays!

By Flora  /  31 May 2017 (Wednesday)

June is the month filled with summer blockbusters - from sequels, reboots and indie hits starring our favourite Hollywood A-listers.

Check out these 6 movies opening InCinemas this June holidays!

Baywatch
1 June

Cool down the summer heat with Dwayne Johnson, Zac Efron, Alexandra Daddario and Priyanka Chopra in ‘Baywatch’! Watch these lifeguards new and old, as they protect their beach against a suspected drug conspiracy that links to the increased number of deaths found on their beach.

Expect lots of laughs, babes, abs, boobs and butts in this hilarious big-screen remake of the popular ‘90s television series, but don’t hope for anything more than that.

Bad Genius
8 June

“No Cheating” is a very familiar phrase we have all heard as a student, and we know too well what the possible consequences are. But what happens when a genius student attempts to challenge an international examination by ‘selling’ her intelligence? Inspired by a real-life case, Thai drama ‘Bad Genius’ shows how a brilliant student provides examination answers to her classmates, and turns her service into a thriving million-dollar business.

(We’re giving away 5 pairs of screening tickets to ‘Bad Genius’!)

Colossal
8 June

Anne Hathaway and Jason Sudeikis star in this peculiar monster movie, a bizarre comedy that became an unexpected hit when it screened at the 2017 Sundance Film Festival. Gloria (Hathaway) realises that the monster that has been wrecking havoc in Korea, is somehow connected to her, mimicking her everyday actions.

We’ve been bombarded with many monster-themed big action blockbuster movies, but this stands out not for its fantastic CGI, but for its unique storyline that strikes a chord with many.

The Mummy
8 June

Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella kickstart Universal’s Dark Universe with ‘The Mummy’. The new cinematic version of the legend is uncovered where an ancient princess whose destiny was unjustly taken from her is awakened in our current day, bringing with her malevolence grown over millennia and terrors that defy human comprehension.

(Stand to win a pair of premiere tickets to 'The Mummy' screening!)

Despicable Me 3
15 June

Bee-do Bee-do! The minions are back with their shenanigans with their villain ‘idol’ Gru in the third instalment of ‘Despicable Me 3’. This time, Gru reunites with his long-lost twin brother who managed to convince Gru to return to the dark side and continue his villainous ways to fight their greatest nemesis - Balthazar Bratt.

If you've always loved the minions, don't forget to download our InCinemasSG app for we will be giving away some pretty cool movie premiums from 'Despicable Me 3' real soon!

Transformers: The Last Knight
22 June

Director Michael Bay’s blockbuster series has earned over a staggering $3.7 billion worldwide to date and it seems like there’s no stopping this box-office giant stomping into theatres this June, whether you like it or not.

The fifth of the film franchise, 'Transformers: The Last Knight', we see leader Optimus Prime go head-to-head with a giant mechanical three-headed dragon and a shocking revelation in a trailer where he battles it out with Bumblebee and seemingly about to kill him. The movie stars Mark Wahlberg, Isabela Moner, Anthony Hopkins, Josh Duhamel and Tyrese Gibson.
