Warner Bros. has officially announced the release date of 'The Batman' - June 25, 2021.
The reboot will be directed by Matt Reeves, the helmer behind 'Cloverfield', 'Dawn of the Planet of the Apes', and 'War for the Planet of the Apes', all of whom have received decent critical and great commercial success.
Reeves joined the project in February 2017, replacing Ben Affleck who was originally going to direct and act as the lead Bruce Wayne/Batman.
As of today, Affleck has also resigned from reprising his role as the caped crusader, leaving Reeves not much time to find a worthy replacement.
Speculations abound on the interweb about who will take up the mantle. But so far, nothing has been confirmed.
In the meantime, check out the video below of Reeves briefly talking about his own take on 'The Batman' whilst on the promotional tour of 'War of the Planet of the Apes'.
