Get an inside peek into the hit Korean Netflix series Kingdom!

By Say Peng  /  02 Feb 2019 (Saturday)

Have you watched 'Kingdom'?

It's the new zombie drama Netflix series, written by Kim Eun-hee, the acclaimed writer of the police procedural TV series 'Signal', and Kim Seong-hun, the director behind the critically appraised Cannes entry 'A Hard Day'.

The story: In a kingdom rife with corruption and famine, a mysterious plague spreads to turn those infected into monsters. Framed for treason and desperate to save his people, crown prince Chang sets out on a journey to investigate.

The series stars some of Korea's biggest and most talented actors.

Leading actor Ju Ji-hoon ('Along with the Gods') plays the Crown Prince.

The main cast also includes Ryu Seung-ryong ('Psychokinesis') and Bae Doo-na ('Sense8', 'Cloud Atlas'), while the supporting cast comprises Kim Sang-ho ('The Negotiation ', 'Yakiniku Dragon') and Heo Joon-ho ('Default').

The series is so popular that Netflix has renewed Kingdom for a second season.

In the meantime, check out the featurette of the first season below.

Kingdom is currently streaming on Netflix.
