Meet Japanese Actor Kento Yamazaki in Singapore on 27th May

Star of the highly-anticipated Japanese action adventure movie Kingdom, Kento Yamazaki, will be making his first appearance in Singapore on 27 May as part of a star tour to promote the film.

Lead actor Kento Yamazaki, known for his role in the hit drama Good Doctor, will be attending the gala premiere to be held at The Cathay, as well as a media conference at Marina Bay Sands.

Kingdom is a live-action movie adaptation of the popular action-adventure manga of the same name by Yasuhisa Hara. The film, which will be released in Singapore on 20 June, has become one of the top grossing films this year, earning over 4 billion yen at the Japan box office (SG$50 million) since its 19 April opening.

Set in the Qin Dynasty during the warring states period in ancient China, Kingdom centres on war orphan Shin (Kento Yamazaki), who has dreams of becoming the greatest general under heaven. One day, he has a fateful encounter with a young man Eisei (Ryo Yoshizawa), the true heir to the Qin kingdom throne. Together, they seek to reclaim Eisei's throne and unite the warring states under a single banner.
