Avengers: Endgame is just 1 spot behind to clinch the highest-grossing movie in history

By Flora  /  10 May 2019 (Friday)

Avengers movies had always performed well at the box office, but we know from the hype it has been getting, Marvel Studios’ Avengers: Endgame was going to smash some major box office records. The film became the No.1 superhero movie after a second-weekend run, and has now made $2.227 billion worldwide just after 13 days.

There are only 5 movies in cinematic history to ever pass the $2 billion mark. Avengers: Endgame joins Avengers: Infinity War ($2.048 billion), Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($2.068 billion), Titanic ($2.187 billion), and Avatar ($2.788 billion) in the hall of fame.

James Cameron tweeted to Marvel and producer Kevin Feige on the film’s success with a rather humorous take on the takeover.

Avengers: Endgame only trails another Cameron movie, 2009’s Avatar, which has made $2.78 billion globally.

With the combining powers of all the MCU be able to Hulk-smash this record?

Tickets to Marvel Studios' Avengers: Endgame are still on sale if you would like to catch up on any scenes you missed due to your pee-break.
