Where to Watch This Year's Oscar-winning Films

By InCinemas  /  01 Apr 2022 (Friday)

The 94th Academy Awards has now concluded with a growing interest in Oscar-winning films.

Due to the effects of the pandemic on the cinema scene, many films were released through streaming and video-on-demand in the past year. Lucky for us film lovers, that means the award-winning films are now readily available to watch online with some still showing in cinemas! Unfortunately, not all winning films are available on streaming yet.

Here's where you can watch the films that won an Oscar at the 94th Academy Awards:

Belfast

Belfast is a coming-of-age comedy-drama film written and directed by Kenneth Branagh, described as his "most personal film". It centres on a young boy's childhood in Belfast, Northern Ireland at the beginning of The Troubles in 1969. The film stars Caitríona Balfe, Judi Dench, Jamie Dornan, Ciarán Hinds, Colin Morgan, and newcomer Jude Hill.

What it Won – Best Original Screenplay

Belfast is now showing in cinemas.

It is the first film from Apple to be nominated at the Oscars and starring predominantly deaf/non-hearing cast members (Kotsur, Matlin and Durant) in leading roles.

Set in 1970s London amidst the punk rock revolution, the film sees a young grifter named Estella (Emma Stone), a clever and creative girl determined to make a name for herself with her designs.
One day, Estella's flair for fashion catches the eye of the Baroness von Hellman (Emma Thompson), a fashion legend who is devastatingly chic and terrifyingly haute. But their relationship sets in motion a course of events and revelations that will cause Estella to embrace her wicked side and become the raucous, fashionable and revenge-bent Cruella.

What it Won – Best Costume Design

Set in the far future, it follows Paul Atreides as his family, the noble House Atreides, is thrust into a war for the deadly and inhospitable desert planet Arrakis. The ensemble cast includes Timothée Chalamet, Rebecca Ferguson, Oscar Isaac, Josh Brolin, Stellan Skarsgård, Dave Bautista, Stephen McKinley Henderson, Zendaya, David Dastmalchian, Chang Chen, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Charlotte Rampling, Jason Momoa, and Javier Bardem.

In the film, the magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift from super strength to the power to heal—every child except one, Mirabel (Stephanie Beatriz). But when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the only ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

The Eyes of Tammy Faye

The Eyes of Tammy Faye is an intimate look at the extraordinary rise, fall and redemption of televangelist Tammy Faye Bakker (Jessica Chastain). In the 1970s and 80s, Tammy Faye and her husband, Jim Bakker (Andrew Garfield), rose from humble beginnings to create the world's largest religious broadcasting network and theme park, and were revered for their message of love, acceptance and prosperity.
Tammy Faye was legendary for her indelible eyelashes, her idiosyncratic singing, and her eagerness to embrace people from all walks of life. However, it wasn't long before financial improprieties, scheming rivals, and scandal toppled their carefully constructed empire.
