Disney+ APAC Originals Receive Eight Awards at Busan International Film Festival

Disney+ APAC Originals received eight awards at the 2023 Asia Content Awards & Global OTT Awards ceremony, hosted at the Busan International Film Festival!

South Korean web series Moving was presented with six awards, including the prestigious Best Creative Award - given in honor of content that has delivered the most notable achievements among the nominations – as well as Best Visual Effects. Screenwriter Kangfull was honored with the Best Writer award, with Moving cast members Ryu Seungryong, Lee Jungha, and Go Younjung taking home the awards for Best Lead Actor, Best Newcomer Actor and Best Newcomer Actress respectively.



First launched on August 9, 2023, Moving has enjoyed record breaking success since its debut, recently becoming the most viewed series finale ever on Disney+ across APAC, including Korea, the Philippines and Taiwan. The show also made headlines after it became the most viewed Korean original series across Disney+ and Hulu. Widely praised for breathing new life into the super power genre, the epic twenty-episode series has received critical acclaim for its daring narrative structure, dynamic action sequences and breathtaking storytelling.

During the ceremony, Gannibal star Yuya Yagira was presented with the Asian Excellence Award for his captivating performance in the series. The Japanese original series has also enjoyed record breaking success, becoming the most watched locally produced original series on Disney+ in Japan, with the show recently renewed for a second season.
