Demi Lovato Sang her Heart out to the 3000-strong Crowd!

By InCinemas  /  21 Mar 2013 (Thursday)
20-year-old Demi Lovato was in Singapore for her first one-night concert held at Hard Rock Hotel at Resorts World Sentosa on Monday night.

The pop-icon singer shot to fame in the 2008 Disney Film, Camp Rock, starring alongside The Jonas Brothers, before anchoring her own television sitcom, Sonny with a Chance, and also acted with her good friend, Selena Gomez in Princess Protection Program.

Besides her love for music, she became a role-model for her younger fans all around the world as she worked on various social and environmental causes for teenage girls on eating disorders, self-multination and low self-esteem.

Having been through all these herself, she used her popularity for a good cause, taking part in charity foundations like ‘Love Our Children USA’, ‘A Day Made Better’, ‘Secret’s Means Stinks’ campaign, a movement to encourage girls to ‘gang up for good’ to end bullying in school.

During the press conference, she learnt a few Singlish phrases from MediaCorp Radio's 987FM deejay Divian Nair. One thing we know for sure, she felt 'shiok' to be in Singapore and tweeted (@ddlovato) a few tweets to her Singapore fans!

"But seriously... can't believe I'm in SINGAPORE right now...."

"God, I LOVE Singapore.. everyone there was SO sweet.. beautiful people there. Sad to leave, but excited for Manila!!!!"

"Thanks Singapore!!!! I had a great time! pic.twitter.com/Mje40LR4EB"

Through her sound-check rehearsals and performances, it was evident that Lovatics (Demi’s fans) were more than thrilled to watch her sing live. From the videos (linked below), it was clear that the powerhouse singer hit her notes with precision and even belted out high-octave tunes. Donned in black from head to toe, the rocker-chic outfit was definitely a crowd-pleaser.

The X-factor judge sang a total of 15 songs, including crowd favourites such as ‘Get Back’, ‘Skyscraper’, ‘Give Your Heart A Break’, ‘Unbroken’ and her latest single, ‘Heart Attack’.
