Now that all the short films have been submitted, it’s time to start voting for your favourites!
Organised by Nexus, ciNE65 is a short film competition for Singaporeans, here and abroad, as well as non- Singaporeans residing in Singapore, to share stories about Singapore.
(While the official date of voting has not been announced, check out the various short films by the participants!
)
This is the second run of ciNE65 and participants had to come out with a film surrounding the theme “I’ll Be There For You, Singapore”. ciNE65 also offers participants with opportunities to showcase their works to Singapore and even, the regional audience such as showcasing their films at international film festivals.
Two new awards, “Best Animation” and “Inter-School Challenge”, have been introduced to strengthen the competition and give more opportunities for participants to be recognised. In addition, the grand prize of an overseas trip to a regional film festival, which was previously awarded to the winners of the “Overall Best Film” award in the Student Category only, will now be extended to the winners of the same award in the Open Category as well.
Your votes will determine if the team wins the ‘Favourite Film’, ‘Favourite Actor’ and/or ‘Favourite Actress’ award(s) with cash prizes up to $1500!
The judges comprising of film industry professionals and partners such as the director of Nexus, film-makers like Sanif Olek, Wilson Yip, Jasmine Ng and K. Rajagopal will judge each film based on
