'Stronger' First Teaser: Jake Gyllenhaal Stars as Boston Bombing Survivor

The first trailer of David Gordon Green's 'Stronger' has been released, starring Jake Gyllenhaal as Jeff Bauman, a real-life survivor of the 2013 Boston Bombings. Tatiana Maslany is co-starring as Erin, Jeff's girlfriend. Check out the trailer below:

The trailer gives us a glimpse of the relationship between Jeff and Erin prior to and following the tragic incident at the marathon. Jeff is waiting for his girlfriend at the finishing line when two bombs go off and cost him both of his legs. Jeff then struggles to adjust to his new life, both as a physically handicapped and a reluctant hero forced into the spotlight as a symbol of strength and self-determination.

'Stronger' is based on a memoir written by Jeff Bauman and will open in cinemas 14 September.
