Trailer Debut of Tim Burton's "Miss Peregrine’s Home For Peculiar Children"!

By Flora  /  16 Mar 2016 (Wednesday)

Last week, we were treated to a first look at the adventure-fantasy ‘Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’, based on the best-selling novel by Ransom Riggs.

What makes this movie much more interesting than it already is, our favourite visionary director Tim Burton is helming this motion picture that is set to release in Singapore this September.

While it gives a sense of a darker and creepier version of Mary Poppins, we still adore the various effects and fantastical-like children who possess mystical superpowers like a toddler with Hulk-like strength; a pair of sisters who could talk to each other without ever saying a word; and a little boy who couldn’t see at all unless he was wearing clothes.

Peculiar children who could do amazing things

These children, or residents rather, are looked after by a guardian (Eva Green) who also has magical abilities. Jake (Asa Butterfield) ultimately discovers his own ‘peculiarity’ that can save his new friends from their terrifying enemies.

[Synopsis]
From visionary director Tim Burton, and based upon the best-selling novel, comes an unforgettable motion picture experience. When his beloved grandfather leaves Jake clues to a mystery that spans different worlds and times, he finds a magical place known as Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children. But the mystery and danger deepen as he gets to know the residents and learns about their special powers…and their terrifying enemies. Ultimately, Jake discovers that only his own special “peculiarity” can save his new friends.

Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children opens InCinemas 29 September 2016!
