First look at The Post, a Steven Spielberg Film

Directed and co-produced by Steven Spielberg, The Post follows an unlikely partnership between Kay Graham (Meryl Streep), the country’s first female newspaper publisher of The Washington Post and its hard-driving editor, Ben Bradlee (Tom Hanks) in a race against The New York Times to expose a massive government cover-up about the Vietnam War.

Having caught the attention of President Richard Nixon with the publication of the Pentagon Papers, Graham became subjected to one of the best-known threats in American journalistic history. The pair has to overcome their differences, risk their careers and fortunes to uphold their beliefs as journalist and to let the truth be reported in a free and honest press.

The Post is coming to Cinemas near you on 12 January 2018.
