The New Trailer of ‘Disney’s The BFG’ Reveals the Giant.

By Flora  /  06 Apr 2016 (Wednesday)

Disney has released a new trailer of Roald Dahl’s book-to-film adaptation, 'Disney's The BFG', which finally reveals the giant’s face.

The film is directed by Steven Spielberg and tells a story of an orphan named Sophie (Ruby Barnhill) who becomes friends with a BFG (Big Friendly Giant), voiced by Academy Award-winner Mark Rylance. They work together to avoid the other bigger giants Bloodbottler (Bill Hader) and Fleshlumpeater (Jemaine Clement) who eat little boys and girls.

Many of Dahl's works have been adopted for both stage and screen, including Matilda, which is now an award-winning musical, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, which was most recently adapted by Tim Burton.

[Synopsis]
The tale of a young girl, the Queen of England and a benevolent giant known as the BFG, who set out on an adventure to capture the evil, man-eating giants who have been invading the human world.

Disney's The BFG opens InCinemas 21 July 2016!
