James McAvoy Plays 24 Different Personalities in 1st Trailer of 'Split'.

Thriller writer-director M. Night Shyamalan’s ‘
Split
’ sees James McAvoy in 24 different personalities - including a dark, sinister beast lurking inside him that caused him to kidnap three teenage girls in his basement.
The film seems to be a showcasing platform for McAvoy, having to portray 24 different characters including a lady and a nine-year-old boy named Hedwig. Split also stars ‘The Witch’ breakout star Anya Taylor-Joy, who is the observant leader of the three girls being held captive.
Filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan had a modest hit with horror-thriller ‘The Visit’ last year, earning nearly $100 million in box office records. It seems like this ominous thriller movie will sit well with the horror buffs, which is slated to open early 2017.
[Synopsis]
Split is about a guy named Kevin (McAvoy) who has shared 23 different personas with his shrink (Betty Buckley)—but actually has one more very sinister face lurking deep within. It’s slowly rising to the surface, and has compelled Kevin to kidnap three teenage girls and stash them in his basement, where they frantically fight to survive as their captor grows ever more confused and insane, with a final personality - "The Beast" - begins to materialize.
