LEGO Batman Takes Off In New Trailer

By Freddy  /  05 Nov 2016 (Saturday)

Warner Bros. Pictures dropped a new LEGO Batman trailer, which tells us a lot about what to expect from the story and the comedy.

Will Arnett reprises his role from The LEGO Movie as Batman, joined by a team consisting of Robin (Michael Cera), Barbara Gordon (Rosario Dawson), and of course Alfred Pennyworth (Ralph Fiennes). The Joker (Zach Galifianakis) seems to be the main villain of the film.

The trailer reveals the origin of Robin’s costume, Barbara Gordon’s motivation, glimpses of the Batcave (with a parade of Bat-vehicles), and not nearly enough of Alfred. It also has a funny reference to a certain other Batman film that came out earlier this year.

Here’s the hilarious trailer:

There are big changes brewing in Gotham, and if Batman wants to save the city from The Joker’s hostile takeover, Batman may have to drop the lone vigilante thing, try to work with others and maybe, just maybe, learn to lighten up.

This seems the DC superhero film to look forward to next year. Do you like a funny Batman film as opposed to the broody type? Tell us in the comments!

The LEGO Batman Movie opens in theatres on 9 Feb 2017.
