'Annabelle: Creation' Trailer Gives The Doll An Origin Story

That creepy doll from ‘The Conjuring’, Annabelle, gets an origin story in her latest film.

The trailer tells us a lot of details, perhaps a little too much. Here is the trailer:

The trailer starts with the arrival of a nun and a group of orphans to the house of dollmaker (Anthony LaPaglia) and his wife (Miranda Otto).

We find out that they had a daughter, Annabelle (Talitha Bateman) who died at a young age.

Her spirit requested to possess a doll, and horrifying events ensue.

This film is a prequel to ‘Annabelle’, a spin-off from the popular horror franchise ‘The Conjuring’. A film about Valak, the demonic nun from ‘The Conjuring 2’, entitled ‘The Nun’ is in the works as well.

‘Annabelle: Creation’ opens in theatres 10 August 2017.
