Warner Bros releases first trailer for 'The Little Things'
By Rachelle / 24 Dec 2020 (Thursday)
Three men play a dangerous game in the first trailer for The Little Things.
The trio of Oscar winners — Rami Malek who won best actor for his portrayal of Freddie Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, Jared Leto who took home the supporting actor trophy for Dallas Buyer’s Club and Denzel Washington, a two-time winner including best actor for Training Day and supporting actor in Glory – face off in the psychological thriller from writer-director John Lee Hancock.
Washington plays Kern County Deputy Sheriff Joe “Deke” Deacon, who gets involved in tracking a serial killer who is terrorizing the city of Los Angeles. Malek’s L.A. Sheriff Dept. Sergeant Jim Baxter is leading the investigation.
Leto enters the story as the two lawmen’s prime suspect, sharing in a particularly tense and ultimately explosive interrogation scene with Malek and Washington. Though Leto’s mysterious character seems to slip from their grasp as the clip progresses, the three acting heavyweights continue to become more entangled with the case (and each other) and the tension ratchets up while disturbing secrets emerge.
