Star Wars teases more clues about The Last Jedi

Have you felt a disturbance in Force?

The trailer for STAR WARS: The Last Jedi was released on Monday morning revealing more secrets about the universe and possibly more distractions.

Rey seeks out the last Jedi, Luke Skywalker on the remote planet of Alche-To learn the ways of the Force. The first impression of Luke was his figure cloaked in the robes of the Jedi before we see his mechanical hand and him holding onto his old light saber.

We also see Rey bring trained by Luke with the saber and mediation where she demonstrates her will over the force. Instead of showing interest in her talent with the Force like Qui-Gon, Luke does the opposite, turning his back on Rey, fearing her strong bond with the Force.

But there’s also some good news. Space battles are making a return to the series after it’s absence from The Force Awakens (atmospheric battles don’t count).  Kylo Ren is seen in his new TIE Silencer star fighter destroying Rebel Ships with The Supremacy on the background.

If there’s any old score to settle from The Force Awaken, that will be between Finn and Captain Phasma. After all, her exit from The Force Awaken was anti-climatic with Finn stuffing her down the trash chute. Don’t ask show she escaped the exploding planet, but she is back to settle some old beef.

Like The Force Awakens, there is some inspiration and similarity drawn from the previous episodes – especially the Battle of Hoth. We also see a new generation Walkers from the First Order facing off resistance speeders.

In the final closing scenes of the trailer, we see Snoke using the Force on Rey with Rey in pain. The scene then switches to Rey, presumably asking Ren for guidance, with the young sith lord extending his hand to her.

The big elephant in the room right now is how much of the new Star Wars trailer can we believe. There is a strong connection between Kylo Ren and Rey, but we can only find out more when The Last Jedi hits cinemas this Christmas.
