Redesigned “Sonic the Hedgehog” trailer looks so much better

This Sonic looks less scary and more like the video game character we have come to love.
Seven months after the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie trailer was released and created a storm of backlash for its realistic and humanoid take on the 90’s character, director Jeff Fowler promised -and delivered- a rethink.
Sonic comic book artist and game cutscene animator Tyson Hesse led the redesign to save the movie.
The new Sonic looks more adorable and relatable, with colour hues more faithful to his classic video game look. This also adds an element of fun and cute-like features that will attract younger audiences.
The gist of the trailer doesn’t drift off much from the storyline that we’ve seen back in April where Sonic is being chased by one Doctor Robotnik, played by Jim Carrey, who is determined to harness Sonic’s powers for evil and global domination.
Ben Schwartz voices the titular character, Sonic and James Marsden as a police officer helping him escape Jim Carrey's Dr. Robotnik
Sonic the Hedgehog is slated to open InCinemas February 2020.
