Jackie Chan's 'Police Story 2013' Tops Box Office during Christmas Holidays!

Jackie Chan’s latest blockbuster Police Story 2013 has taken the Number 1 spot at the local box office chart over the Christmas holidays!

The movie collected an amazing SGD$630,000 over 24th and 25th December, its first two days of release on 35 screens islandwide!

Despite strong competition from Hollywood blockbuster such as 47 Ronin and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug, Police Story 2013 stormed to the top of the local box office chart and looks set to gross a total of SGD$3 million at the end of its run. The last film from Chan, CZ12 was also a box office hit among local audiences.

Police Story 2013 is the latest installment under the successful ‘Police Story’ action-drama franchise. The last installment was New Police Story in 2004. Not in relation to its predecessor, Jackie Chan plays a Chinese Police officer investigation a kidnapping case in Police Story 2013.

The movie also stars well-known Chinese actor Liu Ye and is directed by Ding Sheng.
