26th March 2011 marks this year's Earth Hour. Can you recall what you've done on this day?

In its bid to raise even greater awareness of its pro-environment causes, GV Yishun (Asia's first eco-friendly multiplex) commemorates this global sustainability movement by switching off non-essential lights in the multiplex for one hour from 8.30pm to 9.30pm on 26th March. About GV Yishun Earth Hour event.

To demonstrate its commitment to the pro-environment cause and in anticipation of the annual Earth Day, Golden Village also unveiled on 26 March its first Golden Village Green Ambassador and kickstarted a series of green activities for 2011.

Here is an overview of Golden Village’s green activities for the year:
Green Activity  Date

Recycle @ GV Yishun
 22 April
Cinema "Clean up Day"  Month of September
Cash for Trash @ GV Yishun  Month of November
GV Yishun 1st Green Anniversary: Go Green Film Festival  3 November

How about you? Would you do your part in keeping the Earth clean and making it a better place?

In the month of March, we have conducted 12 contests for our fans, and we see increasing number of participants as well as InCinemas accounts. Do remember to have your particulars written clearly, especially your Full Name, NRIC and mobile number. We’re glad to have your participation and will be bringing more contests to our site in return for your support in visiting InCinema.sg as your one-stop movie portal.

Lastly, let's just reflect on ourselves for a moment. This March is also the month where Japan had one of its worst disasters with the casualties still rising and the aftermath constantly affecting the lives of the people. It is truly the time where we should help one another to overcome this adversity, at least within our means, and also learn to cherish the people around us before it’s too late.

In the month of April, hopefully we can help contribute what we can for the less fortunate ones, and show more concern to those who care for you.
