The well-loved Singapore’s version of Taiwanese beauty and lifestyle magazine show, Lady First - Singapore is back for a second season which will premiere on StarHub TV 3 June 2014.

Besides new topics and grooming tips, this season will see an introduction of a brand new 'Men Team' whom will appear in a few special episodes to give a male’s perspective on the issues discussed.

Many might have remembered Taiwanese host Pauline Lan commenting on Singaporean men being ‘oily’ and ‘sloppy’ a year ago, which raised eyebrows among local men. This time, StarHub has specially put together a male team who will appear in male-centric episodes and as guests stars for the coming episodes.

Though the names of the male team are still under wraps, expect to see a personalties who will represent ‘Zai nan’ (nerd), ‘Ah Beng’ (gangster), ‘Flower boy’ and ‘fresh graduate’ looks. Singer-actor Daren Tan will be part of the Men Team and is ‘excited’ to see what unfolds during the filming of the programme.

“I’m not afraid to show my flaws, in fact we (other team members) will learn to better ourselves through this programme.”

“I think the message is very simple. I think guys want to be as attractive as possible in our own ways but we cannot do it sometimes because our opinions may not be accurate, that’s why we need people from the other sex. This will be a very interesting concept for us. “

Lady First - Singapore Season 2 will see the return of witty, straight-talking host Pauline Lan as the anchor, who will be joined by resident Taiwanese glamour gurus such as skincare expert Liu Yan, Kevin Chou, Wu Yi Lin and Xiao Kai.

To incorporate local perspective to the expert advice, Singapore’s top gurus Bryan Gan (skincare) and Keith Png (styling) will return to provide more tips for viewers. New to the Singapore’s team of gurus are celebrity hairstylist Dexter Ng and fitness instructor Jackson Tan.

Homegrown songbird Kelly Poon will continue as the ‘Ladies Team’ team leader who will explore beauty and fashion topics related to Singaporean women. Her team comprises of familiar local artistes, including six new faces; Lin Cuifang, Lina Ng, Constance Song, Yang Li Bing, Hayley Woo and Rebecca Spykerman.

Seven local personalities from the inaugural season of the 'Ladies Team' will also be back on the show to give their take on beauty and fashion. Actress Cheryl Wee is one of them and feels that the topics from the second season are ‘more than just about beauty’.

“It feels good to be back as the first run was a very successful one. I’m really glad that apart from the new addition to the ‘Ladies Team’ family, we can still be part of it. It’s more edgy and wholesome which I’m really looking forward to it”, said Wee.

Lady First - Singapore premieres on E City (StarHub TV Channel 111/825) on 3 June, every Tuesday at 8pm!
