By InCinemas  /  23 Sep 2014 (Tuesday)

Hong Kong veteran actress Kristal Tin expresses her interest to act in a local film, especially after seeing photos from hubby, Chapman To’s Facebook posts.

“He told me he was really happy filming the movie (King Of Mahjong) in Singapore and Malaysia. The photos he posted on Facebook were all about food! I asked him if he went to film or eat,” the actress quipped during an interview at FUSE lounge, an bar located at Marina Bay Sands Hotel lobby last Friday.

“I felt he truly enjoyed his time in Singapore! He mentioned about how great the director and production team were, and told me Mark Lee is a really funny person.” When asked if she hopes to   work on a local film, the actress lit up with a smile, saying “If there’s a chance, definitely!”

Tin is nominated for various awards at the upcoming StarHub TVB Awards 2014, such as ‘My Favourite TVB Female TV Character (Black Heart White Soul), the coveted title of ’My Favourite TVB Actress’, and two nominations for ‘My Favourite TVB On-Screen Couple with Edwin Siu (Brother’s Keeper) and Roger Kwok (Black Heart White Soul).

As to which partner she wishes to potentially share the stage with, the 36-year-old actress-singer is undecided as ‘it is too hard to choose’.

“I feel I have good chemistry with both of them. The romance in both dramas are very different, so the on-screen relationship is also different; Brother’s Keeper is more direct whereas ‘Black Heart White Soul’ is more complicated,” she added.

In the drama Black Heart White Soul, which is nominated for ‘My Favourite TVB Drama’, Tin had to strip for a scene where she wasn’t informed beforehand.

“That scene wasn’t initially in the script, but was added on that day, on set. When the director told me he wanted me to strip, I had mixed feelings about it. Afraid because I wasn’t informed beforehand, and thought, ‘how do I exactly strip?’, on the other hand, I felt that scene was required because it really adds to the story.”

Will husband To have qualms about it?

“The body is mine, not his,” she joked, explaining “We have great trust between each other. We’re both actors so we understand what the nature of the job requires.”

The StarHub TVB Awards 2014 will commence with the Red Carpet at 6.30pm, followed by the Awards Presentation ‘live’ at 7.30pm on E City (StarHub TV Channel 111/ 825), or via StarHub TV Anywhere at www.starhubtvanywhere.com.
